Top fixes
asana.com/compare/asana-vs-trello for "trello alternatives": currently a head-to-head page, SERP rewards numbered alternatives lists (9/10) → build a "best Trello alternatives" list page, or drop "Trello Alternatives" from the vs-page title.
2. asana.com/uses/project-management for "project management software": currently a product page at #12, SERP rewards "best X" lists (7/10; only 2 vendor pages) → don't expect the product page to win this head term; publish a comparison list or put the effort into keywords where the format already matches (asana vs trello, #7).
3. asana.com/resources/gantt-chart-basics for "gantt chart examples": a definition guide with one example section; 4/10 results are numbered example roundups → add a numbered examples section.
Mixed-intent keywords (decide deliberately)
- asana pricing: official pages hold #1 and #4, but half the top 10 are third-party cost explainers, so searchers are still researching.
- gantt chart examples: guides 5/10 vs example roundups 4/10. Either format can rank.

About this skill
Unlike free search-intent prompts and intent classifiers that guess from the words, this skill keeps two verdicts apart: an offline rule-based guess for every keyword, and a SERP verdict that counts the real top 10 by page type ("9/10 comparisons"). Then it checks your existing page for each keyword and marks it MATCH, PARTIAL or MISMATCH, with the fix. It never invents SERP results, volumes or rankings.
Sample run: asana.com, 9 project-management keywords (SERP = Brave Search top 10, US English, fetched 20 Oct 2026, not Google; public pages; not affiliated with Asana):
- Script: commercial 4, informational 3, transactional 1, navigational 1; SERP check REQUIRED for asana pricing, asana vs trello, trello alternatives
- asana vs trello → 9/10 head-to-head comparisons · /compare/asana-vs-trello ranks #7 → MATCH
- how to create a project plan → 8/10 step-by-step guides · /resources/project-management-plan #8 → MATCH
- project plan template → the rules said "guide"; the SERP showed 10/10 template pages, so the report follows the SERP · Asana's 30-template page #10 → MATCH
- project management software → 7/10 "best X" lists, 2 vendor pages · /uses/project-management (product page) #12 → MISMATCH
- trello alternatives → 9/10 numbered alternatives lists · the vs-Trello page says "See Trello Alternatives" in its title but is not in the top 20 → MISMATCH
- gantt chart examples → 5/10 guides, 4/10 numbered example roundups · /resources/gantt-chart-basics not in the top 20 → PARTIAL: add numbered examples
- Not checked: trello login (navigational, skip)

Most pages that never rank have the wrong format, not the wrong words: a product page aimed at a "best X" query, or a blog post aimed at a "buy" query.
What it does
- Pre-classifies any keyword list offline: informational, commercial, transactional, navigational or unclear, with confidence, a local flag and the modifiers behind each label. Mixed or unclear rows are marked SERP check REQUIRED.
- Reads the SERP you paste (top 10 titles and URLs) or a SERP tool you connect, and counts it by page type: guide, listicle, comparison, product, service, tool/template, local, video, forum, brand.
- Decides the dominant format (5+ of 10) or flags a split SERP, and notes the angle: years in titles, audience, numbered lists, "free".
- Checks your pages: MATCH, PARTIAL or MISMATCH for each existing URL, with the fix.
How it works
- Give it a keyword list or a CSV/TSV export (Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush), plus brands and cities if you have them.
- Paste the top 10 results for the priority keywords and the URL you want each one to rank.
- You get intent-map.csv and a Markdown report: one table (rule-based intent, SERP verdict with its count, page type, angle, match status) plus the top 5 fixes.
Who it's for
SEO leads, content teams and agencies deciding "blog post or landing page?", or diagnosing pages stuck on page 2. Not a rank tracker or volume tool.

Known limitations
It does not fetch search results: paste them or connect a SERP tool you already use, otherwise rows stay labelled "pre-classification only". The offline rules read English modifiers only and have no template bucket, so "template" keywords come out as guide until the SERP check corrects them.
